Audiometry

A hearing test (audiometry) is a simple test that measures how you hear different tones and volumes. It is for anyone who notices they are not hearing as well, anyone who wants to know how their hearing is and anyone who already wears hearing aids.

What it includes

• The test takes place in our audiology booth. You listen to sounds through headphones and tell us when you hear them.
• With the results, we explain what your hearing is like.
• If needed, we explain what options you have.

If you then need hearing aids

A hearing aid fitting requires a hearing test first. That appointment cannot be booked on the website: book it by phone, on WhatsApp or in the shop.

How long it takes and what it costs

The appointment takes about 30 minutes. The hearing test is free.

Who will see you

You will be seen by one of our optometrists and hearing aid specialists:

• Antonia Marco Pérez, optometrist (registration no. 5828) and hearing aid specialist.
• Carolina Duque Tavira, optometrist (registration no. 22985) and hearing aid specialist.

We are a healthcare centre authorised by the Conselleria de Sanitat of the Generalitat Valenciana, under no. 1784.

How often to come in

Have a hearing test if you find it hard to follow conversations, especially when there is background noise, or if you have to turn up the TV more than before. If you already wear hearing aids, it is a good idea to repeat it from time to time so they stay properly adjusted.

What to bring

If you have them, bring your hearing aids and your previous hearing test results. They help us see how your hearing has changed.
